To fulfill this dream, he takes a loan from a moneylender and sends Maan abroad, with the promise of having him marry Khushwant’s sister, Prabhjot, upon his return. 

• But, Dilpreet’s plans are shattered when Maan returns from America, married to Aastha, a Gujarati doctor. This infuriates Khushwant, who seeks revenge by trying to take away the land on which the hospital was to be built. This creates a deep enmity between the two families. 

The conflict between Dilpreet and his younger son, Randeep “Rana” Brar, also takes center stage when Randeep expresses his desire to study abroad. This leads to a gap between father and son, causing Randeep to leave the family and move to Delhi. 

• 25 years later, the next generation of the Brar family, including Amrita Brar, the daughter of Mandeep and Aastha, Riya Brar, the daughter of Randeep and Nimrit, and Veer Malhotra, the adopted son of Dilpreet and Sanjot, come together to reconcile the differences between the family members.
